Oakland Raiders Draft 2010: The Great Picks Continue

The Raiders continued a strangely sensible draft today, and proved their commitment to fixing the running game by selecting Texas defensive tackle Lamarr Houston in the second round. 

Houston also adds value to the Raiders' first round pick Rolando McClain by helping to give him a solid defensive line to play behind. 

Houston is a similar player to McClain is, both possessing great instincts and ability to quickly locate the ball.

Also like McClain, he is a high character player, but very athletic for a defensive tackle. Tom Cable was as good as his word when he said the Raiders wanted experienced players who were productive in college. Houston is another vocal team leader for the defense.

He ran a 4.89 40, and makes a lot of tackles behind the line...
