A New Spark Plug for the Supercharger: Fullback Cory Jackson

The Chargers were gift wrapped the player that they needed most, and they didn't even have to waste a draft pick or trade to get him. Introducing Cory Jackson, Fullback, Maryland.

When I say Fullback, I don't mean Running back that fills a Fullback position. I mean old school, hard-nosed 250 pounds of blocking muscle powerhouse that would rather lead block than run in a touchdown.

Every scout had him pegged as being selected somewhere in this year's draft, and when he was not, were proved wrong. When he landed in the Chargers free agent pool, it was perhaps an omen saying, hey guys, wake up, you need a true fullback.
