2010 NFL Training Camp: Rookie Rolando McClain Signs With Oakland
Rookie linebacker Rolando McClain agreed to a deal with the Oakland Raiders late last night. This happened hours before the team started their first training camp practice.
McClain was the eighth overall pick in the 2010 NFL Draft, and is third first-round pick to sign a contract and highest to do so.
According to Adam Schefter of ESPN.com Insider, the contract the linebacker out of Alabama signed was believed to be a five-year $40 million deal along with $23 million guaranteed.
Other first-round picks that have been signed were Dez Bryant of the Dallas Cowboys and Devin McCourty of the New England Patriots.
