Chargers Know They Can Keep Jackson, McNeill and Merriman

The last piece was finally put into the RFA holdout puzzle as Ryan Mathews signed his contract today with the San Diego Chargers. As his signature hit the contract, the giant impact was felt throughout Chargers headquarters.

Now the Chargers know exactly what they can offer all of their restricted free agents.

As Iv'e predicted all along, Mathews would have to sign his contract before RFA holdouts would even be discussed. Simply put. Without knowing how much roster salary Mathews would eat into the Chargers salary cap, no offers could be made to McNeill, Jackson or Merriman.
