Chargers Moving to L.A. For 2012, Don’t Bring Norv
If Los Angeles has its way, the San Diego Chargers will move back to L.A. for the 2012 NFL season.
The Chargers started play in the AFL and spent its first season (1960) in L.A. until moving to San Diego in 1961.
Reported by the L.A. Times, if Tim Leiweke does his job in laying the groundwork for a downtown events center in L.A., the Chargers are expected to announce after Feb 1, 2012 that they will be moving there.
The San Diego Chargers have failed to sell out homes games and that has led to local TV blackouts; San Diego has never embraced current owners, the Spanos family.
