Sharks Opening Night: What San Jose’s Win Signals for the Upcoming Season
Last night at the HP Pavilion, the Sharks went on to beat the Phoenix Coyotes by a score of 6-3. It was the Sharks' home opener and first game of their season.
And the team looked really good. From the top line to the bottom.
Patrick Marleau notched two assists, including a pass between a Coyote's legs to Joe Pavelski. Pavelski went on to score another goal, both on the power play, later in the game.
Michal Handzus also lit the lamp on a wrap-around to give the Sharks a 2-0 lead.
