Q&A With Mark Gonzales of The Chicago Tribune

With the fallout of Padres' right hander Jake Peavy not quite setting into Padre fans in and out of the San Diego area, I wanted to get the feelings where the White Sox were concerned.  With that being said, I went to Mark Gonzales who covers the Chicago White Sox for the Chicago Tribune for a Q&A.

Todd Kaufmann:  Take me back to just hours prior to the deadline.  Was this a last minute phone call made from Williams to Kevin Towers or was this in the works a few days prior to the deadline?

Mark Gonzales: Yes, this was a down-to-the wire deal where you hope your field goal unit gets on the field in time for the game-winner.

Funny thing was Jake saying his phone was off so he could let his kid...
