Lakers News: Team Would Make Mistake by Not Adding a Player Before Deadline

Although things have not gone according to plan for the Los Angeles Lakers this season, they seemed to have turned a corner. However, that is no reason to not be actively looking to improve. 

After hitting a low point of eight games under .500 at 17-25, the Lakers won eight of their last 11. They are still outside of the postseason if it started today, but they are in much better shape at this point than they were a few weeks ago.

However, things are still not perfect. Pau Gasol will be out for six to eight weeks due to a tear in his plantar fascia. In addition, the teams in front of them continue to win games.
