The Rookies: Lawrence Okoye Gets a Shot with the San Francisco 49ers

This video is the first in B/R's new series "The Rookies" where we take the helmets off the players and bring you closer to their lives & personalities. 

Lawrence Okoye blew scouts away at the regional combine in April, running a 40-yard dash in 4.78 seconds, an incredible time for a 6'6" 300 lb athlete. 

The 49ers signed Okoye, 21, as an undrafted free agent and plan to try him out on the defensive line.

Okoye, who holds the British discus record, is looking to be the next great story in the NFL. So far, he has survived rookie minicamp, but can he make it past training camp?
