The 2009 NFL season is being celebrated by the Oakland Raiders football team as its 50th. During this time Oakland has hoisted three Vince Lombardi trophies, and team owner Al Davis has established himself as a polarising figure in the league, with many admiring his loyalty and knowledge and others believing him to be an out of touch, paranoid old man who is nothing but a detriment to his team.
