Dodgers-Rockies: Andre Ethier’s Walk-Off Secures 4-2 Los Angeles Victory
Andre Ethier hit a two-run home run in the bottom of the 13th inning to give the Los Angeles Dodgers (49-28) a 4-2 victory over the visiting Colorado Rockies (40-36).
Ethier's blast was his 15th of the season, 14 of which have come at Dodger Stadium. Rockies reliever Joel Peralta (0-1) walked Casey Blake to begin the 13th, and Ethier followed that with the walk-off home run.
The Dodgers lead the majors with nine walk-off hits, four of which have come from Ethier’s bat.
Long before the 13th, Dodgers starter Randy Wolf worked out of a jam in the fourth inning when the Rockies had with runners at first and third with just one out. Former UCLA player Garrett Atkins then laced a line drive right at Dodgers third baseman Casey Blake.
