Los Angeles-San Diego: Dodgers’ Power Surge Jolts Friars, 6-4
The Los Angeles Dodgers (40-20) continued their divisional domination in a game of punch/counter-punch with the San Diego Padres (27-31) Tuesday night.
The Padres jumped out on top early, wasting no time in attacking Dodgers' starter Chad Billingsley. Kevin Kouzmanoff had one of four first inning singles, bringing in David Eckstein and Brian Giles to take a 2-0 lead.
Andre Ethier answered for the Boys in Blue in the bottom half of the inning when he wrapped a line drive around the right field foul poll, cutting the deficit to 2-1.
Matt Kemp then pulled the Dodgers even in the second with an RBI single to plate Rafael Furcal. Ethier was able to keep the pressure on Chris Young in the third when he belted another solo home run, his 12th of the season....
