Monasterios: A Monster on the Mound
Over the hills and through the woods, the Dodgers have lost a few good names like Pedro Martinez, Paul Konerko, and Vlad Guerrerro. Once again, there is a new, young phenom. brewing in the Dodgers' organization.
Carlos Monasterios is a 24 year old pitcher trying to make sure his name is on the 25 man roster. This kid has the stuff to become another young, great relief or starting pitcher for the Dodgers, which has been pretty common in recent years. Not much is really known about Monasterios, but he is quickly becoming a coach favorite by pitching aggressively and doing what he needs to do.
