Padres Call Up Rizzo from Minors but There Are 3 Other Prospects from Tucson
A couple days ago, the San Diego Padres called up first baseman Anthony Rizzo from triple-A Tucson to help a struggling lineup and to hopefully replace the man, the myth, the legend Adrian Gonzalez.
The Ft. Lauderdale native is one of three minor league prospects brought over to San Diego from Boston from the Adrian Gonzalez trade.
Rizzo made his debut drawing two walks, striking out and getting his first major league hit via triple in a 7-3 victory against the Washington Nationals.
That being said, he is not the only prospect from triple-A Tucson who can provide help in the majors for either the San Diego Padres or someone else.
They got a power prospect, a speed prospects and a high average prospect.
