San Diego Padres Could Really Use Former Top Propect Right About Now
The San Diego Padres have been in a rut since the day after Opening Day. Coming off a year in which they reached the 90-win mark and failed to make the playoffs on the final day, they overhauled the lineup and looked like they could do it again after beating the St. Louis Cardinals in an Opening Day game that had it all.
They could have gone on to have a repeat year and make general manager Jed Hoyer and manager Bud Black look like they had everything going the right direction. Then they realized that their hitting turned out to be horrendous and they spent the entire season in last place.
