Taking a page out of Brett Favre's playbook, former San Francisco Giants outfielder Pat Burrell may soon un-retire.

Just not as a player.

Burrell, who recently quit the game because of lingering foot problems that prevent him from playing pain-free, could return to the Giants—as a special assistant.
