Coby Karl isn't going to be remembered for his NBA career.
In fact, his last name is mostly associated with his legendary father George Karl, who is currently the head coach of the Denver Nuggets.
When Coby played for the Lakers, his name was extremely recognizable, but it wasn't because of anything he did.
Karl played 17 games in a Laker uniform back in 2007-08 and he became a fan favorite as a bench warmer. There seemed to be a buzz at Staples Center every time Karl stepped onto the floor during blowout games.
He was essentially the Luke Walton of 2008 for the Lakers.
