Los Angeles Lakers Where Are They Now?: Catching Up with Sun Yue
Sun Yue's NBA career did not exactly blow up the way Jeremy Lin's did. He didn't have the hype that Yao Ming did.
Nope.
But, he does have one more championship ring than Lin and Ming do—combined.
Sun Yue became the fifth Chinese basketball player in the NBA, but he only played in 10 games with the Lakers.
Prior to his NBA arrival, Yue was a young star for the ABA's Beijing Olympians. At 22 years old, Yue averaged 13.5 points, six rebounds, and 10.5 assists per game.
He looked fantastic during a pre-draft camp and, because of that, the Lakers gave him a shot. He was the 40th overall pick in the 2007 draft.
Yue didn't immediately sign with the Lakers....
