McClain Sentenced to 180 Days in Jail; Could 4th-Round LB Burris Replace Him?
Today, Oakland Raiders starting middle linebacker Rolando McClain was found guilty of reckless endangerment, third-degree assault, menacing and discharging a firearm, according to WAAY-TV. McClain's prospects in court took a turn for the worse this morning when his co-defendant, Jerradius Willingham, decided to plead guilty and testify against McClain.
He was sentenced to 45 days for each charge, 180 days in total. It's unknown how this will affect McClain's season at this time, but it certainly casts a shadow on his future. The incident happened on November 30 of last year, so GM Reggie McKenzie had to be fully aware of the possibility that this would happen.
