Often in the NFL, the second highest paid player on the team is the left tackle. This has recently been brought to light by the movie The Blind Side!

The left tackle is a critical component to not only protecting your passing game, but setting up a running game as well. A weak left tackle will be exposed instantly and halt a team's passing almost as quickly as it will sideline its quarterback.

We all know that Rivers isn't a mobile quarterback, so keeping him upright is a huge task. Leading that task is McNeill.
