San Diego Chargers Beat Arizona Cardinals 17-6 for First Preseason Win

For many years, this exhibition game was a boring, pointless afterthought, its amazing what a few years can do to a series. With the Cardinals playing in the Super Bowl last season, and the Chargers looking to get there this season, Saturday's matchup was among the best of the weekend. San Diego's 17-6 victory was just what the Bolts needed, after looking sloppy against Seattle last week.

And the first half of this game was very entertaining, especially after watching the Patriots and Bengals sandbag a game earlier this last weekend.

One of the arguments against four preseason games is that coaches don't really try—and the New England-Cincinnati game was a prime example of wasting everyone's time. I am sure the coaches got what they needed, but at full price, ...
