San Diego Chargers: Why Marcus Gilchrist Is a Future Star Cornerback

Marcus Gilchrist, the first of two second-round picks for the San Diego Chargers in the 2011 NFL Draft, has been very impressive this preseason and in training camp.

Gilchrist was the strongest player when having muscle power compared to his size. He bench pressed 225 pounds in 26 reps at 5'10".

That's one buff dude.

After Gilchrist was drafted, I didn't follow him in the news that often, I thought he was just another player on the block looking for a job. Then he appeared in his first preseason game against the Seattle Seahawk...
