It won't be surprising if Jim Harbaugh's first ever draft pick as an NFL coach is a quarterback.
There has been a trend of first-year head coaches pairing up with rookie quarterbacks and the results have slightly varied.
Rex Ryan and Mark Sanchez have been in the playoffs in both of their two years together. John Harbaugh and Joe Flacco are three for three. Jim Schwartz and Matt Stafford have yet to record a winning season, but they have made strides since tacking over after a win-less 0-16 season. Raheem Morris and Josh Freeman have had a breakout season this year after a downer last season. Mike Smith and Matt Ryan saved the Atlanta Falcons franchise and could possibly go to the Super Bowl this year.
